When the Laurens Memorial Home for the Aged needed CPR training for its staff, Carolyn Penland turned to PTC to set up an effective program to be delivered on a tight schedule to meet an upcoming deadline. PTC delivered on-site training designed around the facility's busy work environment.

Any student who applies to a Nursing or Health Science program soon discovers that there are additional requirements in place for entry into the clinical part of each program. These requirements can be a little confusing, but they’re in place to make sure you’re prepared for the rigorous training you’re about to receive—and to make sure that everyone who starts the program is prepared to finish.

While discussion about the state of the economy and the job market continues, good jobs, the kind that provide a living wage and benefits, go begging. Manufacturing jobs, for example, that can pay from $30,000 to $80,000 a year regularly go unfilled because employers can’t find workers with the right skills.

Life has been known to teach us many lessons. Wouldn’t it be great if you could get college credit for some of those lessons? Maybe you can. Piedmont Technical College offers exemption credit for military service, work or life experience to those who qualify.
