Agreement between PTC and Abbeville Saves Students Time and Money

An articulation agreement signed between Piedmont Technical College and Abbeville County School District will allow high school students in the agricultural mechanics curriculum to earn college credit while completing courses at the high school level. By not having to repeat similar courses at the college level, the agreement saves students both time and money.
Signed on March 30 by Dr. Lex Walters, PTC president, and Dr. Ivan Randolph, superintendent of Abbeville County School District, the agreement recognizes the correlations in the agricultural mechanics and welding curricula at the high school and college levels, respectively.
Instructors from PTC and Abbeville Career Center developed a set of matching competencies. If a student masters these competencies, earns a grade of “B” or better and is recommended in writing by his or her instructors, he or she can earn college credit hours upon enrolling at Piedmont Tech.
