Tutoring

Piedmont Technical College offers free tutoring services to students for most academic subjects. Our tutors can also assist you with general study skills, time management, and note-taking skills that will help you in all of your courses.

Tutoring at the County Campuses

Requests for tutoring services at a non-Greenwood location should be done through Navigate.

Every effort will be made to obtain a local tutor, but it may be necessary for the student to meet on the Greenwood Campus if a local tutor is not available.

Virtual Tutoring

While in-person tutoring is available, we will continue to offer tutoring sessions virtually, if requested by the student. Virtual tutoring sessions will be conducted through an online meeting platform like Zoom or WebEx. For best results, students requesting virtual tutoring should have a stable high-speed internet connection. Virtual tutoring requests are also made through Navigate.

Brainfuse

Brainfuse is a customized online tutoring service with live help for most courses. Students can also submit papers to a writing lab for review. To access Brainfuse, log in to D2L, then click the Brainfuse link under resources on the homepage in D2L.

Open Labs

PTC faculty offer open labs in math, English, and science in the TLC on the first floor of the K-building. Students can drop into these labs without an appointment to get help with their courses. Schedules are posted online each semester in the Passport to Success newsletter, found in the Academic Resources area of the website: https://www.ptc.edu/college-resources/academic-resources.
