What is TRiO?
- TRIO is a set of federally funded programs that support eligible, degree-seeking college students. Students applying for TRIO must meet at least two of the following verifiable criteria:
• demonstrate academic need;
• demonstrate financial need;
• document any form of disability; and
• be a first-generation college student. - Admitted students will receive full access to resources that can contribute to their success. Free program benefits include:
• Four-Year College/University Tours and Field Trips
• College Readiness and Life Skills Training
• Recommendations, Referrals and Assistance with Applying for Financial Aid and Scholarship Opportunities
• Counseling and Advising Referrals and Individualized Academic Coaching
