Diesel Generator Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• In-depth understanding of diesel engine and/or generator technology
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical issues on diesel engines
• Ability to work independently or with a team in a manufacturing style environment
• Ability to work in warm and cold conditions
• Experience working with large industrial power equipment a plus
• Welding experience a plus

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Install and commission diesel generator sets in production of new “Power Packs”
• Assist manufacturing team in all aspects of new Power Pack production
• Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical issues on diesel generator rental equipment
• Change filters and perform standard service on rental units
• Perform load bank tests on diesel generator equipment
• Re-wire, adjust and install control panels and voltage regulators
• Work closely with the Shop Manager on project progress, estimates, etc.
• Assist in preparing generators for shipment as needed
• Assist with other duties as required
