Wages/Salary: Hire Range: $28,885- $ 36,000 annually
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have great communication and computer skills. Ability to correctly evaluate situations and make good decisions. Ability to deal firmly, yet tactfully, and relate well with the general public. Possess a high degree of independence in completing the work with accountability for their own actions and decisions in the absence of a supervisor. Must be able to complete all necessary training requirements through the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions during stressful and emergency situations. Work involves operating a multichannel radio console and multi-line telephone system.
Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma. Must be certified through the South Carolina Criminal Justice Basic Telecommunications class. Must have a minimum typing speed (30 WPM). Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. Valid driver's license and safe driving history are required.
