Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering Preferred 

Technical Culture

Knowledge of company technical production processes

Technical drawing and specifications comprehension

Able to solve problems as they arise, heightened sense of urgency

Works well with others, gives clear and concise instructions

Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Word and Excel

Understands product workflow on a part by part or job basis

Quality Management System basic training based on ISO 9001

Ability to sit a computer terminal for long periods of time

Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds.

Ability to travel up to ten percent (10%) of the time.

An essential function for this position, based on business necessity, is that the employee must be physically in attendance at his/her workstation at the designated company office location during the normal business hours designated for the position.

Job Description:

Position Summary

This position is in charge of all the activities related to the qualification of new products and actively supports the production team in case of product related technical issues.

The new products must be developed in full agreement with customer technical and quality requirements ensuring the best production efficiency and cost effectiveness.

 

Primary Functions

Coordinates and manages the activities developed by the Engineering Department and defines a change of jobs related to capacity.

Evaluates and coordinates between departments based on production and laboratory data.

Participates in product modification requested by the Customer and also from Flame Spray.

Is responsible for analyzing new product specs and drawings (including quality control requirements).

Technically supports (under request) the Sales Department during the new product negotiation.

Carries out all the preliminary activities needed in order to check the feasibility of the qualification process.

Responsible for organizing the kick-off meetings for new qualifications.

Responsible to carry out the qualification process to include the Manufacturing Process Plan, First Piece Qualification, and Pilot Lot Qualification.

Coordinates the above mentioned activities with the Production and Quality Control Department

Responsible for Parameters Date Sheet Preparation, operating instruction and Traveler preparation.

Works with other departments to provide tooling, robot programs, and masking for new product

Works with production concerning parts going from qualification to production.

Supports Production and Quality Control during the production activities

Supports and attends quality management activities.

Maintains and updates all the indicator and necessary reports.

Actively supports all the activities related to the Company's Quality, Safety and Environmental certifications.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday. 8am to 5pm.
