Requirements:

Minimum Job Requirements (but not limited to):

Associate degree in manufacturing or quality related field and 1-year of experience, or High School Diploma (GED) and 3-years of mid to upper-level quality experience. Other education and experience combinations may be considered. Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficient in keyboarding, data entry, and office equipment. Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize.

Job Description:

Summary of Duties:

Provides administrative and technical support to the GF&P Quality Department. Performs various activities concerned with quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties: conducting inspections on quality related issues, reporting findings, generating reports, supporting, and inputting on special projects, participating in ISO audits, and inspecting products to assure quality.

Job Specific Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Support internal quality by:

  • Communicating significant issues or developments, such as nonconformities, identified during quality activities.
  • Handling and transportation of scrap or rework materials
  • Initiating and organizing scrap reduction whenever applicable
  • Assist with process improvements to include, but not limited to, quality alerts and operator training.
  • Maintaining quality hold and record keeping for the Hodges facility

Metrology:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, as well as basic math skills.
  • Performing accurate measurements for production
  • Collaborating on first part articles (new part approvals)

Training:

  • Establishing procedures and training manuals specific to production, quality, and other departments, where applicable
  • Evaluating of established procedures on a periodic basic

Site-wide gauge management:

  • Responsible for performing and recording calibrations, internal and external
  • Purchasing gauges based upon process needs and promoting cost savings

ISO Support:

  • Performing internal audits (full system audit)
  • Assist in the facilitation and execution of internal and external ISO, customer, or supplier audits.

Routine Audits:

  • Perform plating line audits at scheduled intervals to accommodate all lines in both Greenwood and Hodges facility.
