PTC's Intersession Camp Will Ignite the Budding Engineer in Participants

The human brain has 100 billion neurons, each neuron connected to 10 thousand other neurons. Sitting on your shoulders is the most complicated object in the known universe.

Greenwood-area parents who have been “racking their brains” trying to figure out how to provide fun, engaging, and educational activities for their children over the upcoming Intersession (March 27-31, 2023) have an option certain to enhance children’s knowledge about engineering. The Building Brains Camp, offered through Piedmont Technical College (PTC), runs Monday to Wednesday, March 27-29, 2023 at PTC’s Greenwood campus.

Campers will construct marshmallow launchers, battling robots, and other fun and engaging activities that introduce engineering concepts. The camp itself operates from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (lunch included), and optional afternoon care is available through the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lakelands Region (transportation provided). Each day, the Boys and Girls Club will offer bus transportation to the Starz24 Teen Center, where campers can unwind with games, arts and crafts, a recording studio, and other amenities.

The cost is only $25 for the half-day option or $40 for the full-day option.
