Each year, Piedmont Technical College (PTC) officials hand-pick some of the college’s most promising students to serve as Presidential Ambassadors to represent the college at campus events, provide campus tours, and speak about their experiences to various audiences. This year’s 17 Ambassadors hail from a variety of backgrounds and represent many program areas.
Piedmont Technical College students who had outstanding academic accomplishments during the 2022 summer term have earned inclusion on the President’s List. To be named to the list, students must be full time and earn a term GPA of 4.00. These students will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the college president.
A first-of-its-kind experience featuring the best offerings from professional toolmakers and the industries they serve is coming to Piedmont Technical College (PTC) in Greenwood. The PTC Tool and Trade Expo will be open to the public from 1-5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, at the Medford Family Event Center and the O’Dell Upstate Center for Manufacturing Excellence. The two sites are across the street from one another.

It seemed that grief and failure had become permanent themes in Ebony Ellis’s young life. A survivor of domestic abuse, Ellis tried twice between 2013 and 2019 to complete classes at Piedmont Technical College (PTC) while recovering from trauma and grieving the tragic loss of three beloved family members. Each time, she dropped out to work full time and tend to more pressing responsibilities, providing financial support for her family and raising her daughter as a single mother.
