Acknowledgment and Assurances

Piedmont Technical College acknowledges that the institution signed and returned to the US Department of Education the Certification and Agreement for the CRRSAA Act Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students and assures that the institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 314(a)(1) of the CRRSAA Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

Total Funds Received

Piedmont Technical College has received $1,716,979 in total funds pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

Amount of Grants Awarded

The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants awarded to students at PTC as of  December 31, 2021 is $1,716,979.

Eligible Students

The estimated total number of students at Piedmont Technical College eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students for HEERF II as of December 31, 2021 is:  3,864.

Number of Grants Awarded

Piedmont Technical College has awarded 3,413 students grants under the CRRSAA.

Disbursement Allocation and Plan

All US Citizens who were degree seeking and enrolled for Spring 2021 and/or Summer 2021 term have been deemed eligible for a base award. Pell recipients have been awarded $550 and all other students were awarded $350 for the Spring Term. Pell recipients have been awarded $600 and all other students were awarded $500 for the Summer Term. PTC’s award dates were April 20,2021 and July 15, 2021. Base Awards were posted and distributed directly to students via direct deposit or paper check.

Additionally, PTC opened an online application process for students to apply for additional funding. A full review of applicants and their reported expenses was conducted upon receipt of each application. The reported expenses and known economic determined the amount of funds each student received.
