General Information
If you've never attended Piedmont Technical College before, you're a New Applicant. If your only previous experience with PTC is as a Dual Enrollment student, you're a New Applicant.
If you've attended PTC previously for college credit, you're a returning student. Learn more about what to do next.
If you've taken courses at another college or university, and you're now planning to transfer into PTC to attend full- or part-time, you're a transfer student.
If you're a high school student who wants to earn college credit while you're still in high school, you're a dual enrollment student.
Piedmont Technical College is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant students. Non-immigrant students must apply for an F-1 visa through the international student application process.
Effective March 8, 2013, Piedmont Technical College began accepting DACA recipients as applicants. If you fit the DACA criteria as outlined here, learn how to enroll at PTC.
If you plan to take some courses and transfer back to your home institution, you’re a transient student.
If you just want to take some classes at PTC, but you're not interested in a degree, diploma or certificate, you're a non-degree-seeking student.
