Piedmont Technical College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees. Piedmont Technical College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. The Electronic Engineering Technology program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Electrical/Electronic(s) Engineering Technology and similarly named programs.

The Engineering Design Technology program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Engineering Graphics/Design/Drafting Engineering Technology (Mechanical) and similary named programs.
