The Cornerstone Society is an association of friends who support the college through various estate planning tools and techniques. The Cornerstone Society began in 2002 with an initial membership of 17 supporters. Over the years, the number has grown to over 75 strong! A person qualifies for membership in the Cornerstone Society by naming the Piedmont Technical College Foundation as a beneficiary in a person’s will; donating to the Foundation gifts of real estate, securities, or other assets associated with a person’s estate planning tools and techniques; gifting a whole life insurance policy to the Foundation for $25,000 or more; or by including the Foundation in various charitable trust arrangements that donors can use in estate planning.
