Course Schedules
We update program offerings and schedules online at least weekly. Therefore, our website contains the most current information available. You will find our printed course listing in the Index Journal's Lakeland's Connector publication every three months. You may also request printed copies of our course listing at the Continuing Education office in Greenwood or by calling (864) 941-8400 or 1-800-868-5528.
Fees
Course fees are due at the time of registration. If you are unable to pay for a class in full, you may choose to sign up for our CE payment plan. The payment plan can only be used on a class with tuition of $300.00 or more. There is a $25 one-time fee to enroll in the payment plan. 50% of Payment must be received the day of registration, and then other amount due will be set up into a monthly payment plan. If course is not paid in full, you will not be unable to complete the final exam/driving test. If you are unable to pay for the class with our payment plan, you may consider checking with your financial institution for other options. Note: This plan will be implemented January 3, 2023. Registration during the winter break, December 19 - January 2, will be processed on January 3. You will receive a confirmation email regarding your registration and how you would like to process your payment.
Credit/Debit Card Transactions & Service Fee
The college accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover for payment. Effective July 1, 2012 a 1.5% card processing service fee will be applied to all credit card transactions. There are no additional fees applied when you pay using a debit card.
Books & Supplies
Many course fees do not include the cost of materials. Books and other supplies may be purchased in the PTC Campus Shop on the Lex Walters Campus in Greenwood or at the County Campuses when programs are offered there. Contact the Campus Shop for more information.
Cancellations
There are times when Piedmont Technical College must cancel classes due to low registration. To avoid disappointments, register early and recruit a friend or relative to take the class with you. We will call you the day before the scheduled start date if we are forced to cancel a course due to low enrollment. If you must cancel your registration, please notify our office at least 48 hours in advance to receive a full refund. No refunds will be given after the 48 hour mark has been passed.
Climate Control
Piedmont's heating and air conditioning systems are sometimes difficult to control. We encourage you to bring a light sweater or jacket to class, regardless of season.
Students with Special Needs
Piedmont Tech's Student Success Center helps students who have special needs overcome issues regarding class attendance. Please contact Student Disability Services at (864) 941-8378.
Continuing Education Units
Piedmont Tech awards Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to indicate satisfactory completion of many noncredit courses, programs, and activities. One CEU represents 10 contact hours of instruction. Students may request CEU transcripts from the Office of Student Records. Certificates of course completion are also available from the Continuing Education & Economic Development Division.
Evaluations
We welcome your comments about our courses. You will have an opportunity to evaluate your class at the last class meeting. If you have other comments or concerns, please direct them to the appropriate program manager and we'll do our best to resolve any issues.
Refund Policy
Piedmont Tech will mail a refund to you if a course is canceled or if you notify us of your withdrawal from the course at least 48 hours prior to the start date. You may request refunds by telephone, fax, U.S. Mail, or in person. NO refunds will be granted after the 48-hour deadline. If you have paid by check, please allow 15 days for your check to clear before we are able to process a refund.
