Advanced EMT

"Advanced Emergency Medical Technician course expands on the knowledge and application of advanced practices in prehospital emergency care. Topics include legal and ethical issues, operations, advanced treatment of medical and trauma emergencies including advanced airway management, intravenous and intraosseous procedures, cardiology, and pharmacology. In addition to the didactic and labs, students must complete field internships and hospital clinicals. Upon successful completion of the course students are candidates for the NREMT certification exam. *This program is a hybrid format. Tuesdays/Thursdays on campus for lab, Monday/Wednesday/Friday online asynchronous. **Background check, drug screen, and immunizations required."
