Constable In-Service

State constables are administratively divided into three groups based on the need for this authority: state constables for government entities, retired police officers and state constable auxiliary. These constables must complete annual in-service training, provided by South Carolina's technical colleges, each fiscal year in which the commission was issued. A copy of the in-service training certificate must be submitted to the SLED Regulatory Department upon completion.
