Requirements:

A high school diploma and four (4) years of work experience that is directly related to the area
of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human
Resources Regulations. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license.
Computer experience.

Job Description:

Performs a variety of complex administrative or technical support duties for Engineering staff in
District 4 Office. Acts as primary Time Administrator using SCEIS program to process payroll
for District 4 Office staff, including the District 4 Incident Responder Teams in York and
Cherokee counties and District 4 OSHA Officers. Assists in procurement for District 4 Office
staff, Incident Responders (SHEP), using the SCEIS Procurement Program. Maintains inventory
of office supplies and forms. Handles requests from members of the public, either in person or
by phone; handles incoming calls and forwards to proper person or office. Serves as District
contact person for road closures requests due to parades and special events in accordance with
Departmental rules and regulations. Researches, processes and prepares correspondence and
reports expeditiously in a concise and professional manner for all District 4 Engineers including
Maintenance, Construction, Traffic, Mechanical, Safety, Incident Responders and Bridge
Inspections. Serves as Credit Card Holder for the Department.. Enters mileage from Vehicle
Daily Trip logs each month for Incident Responders and Bridge Inspection Team. Processes
Freedom of Information (FOIA) requests in a timely manner. Reviews Monthly Commission
minutes to ensure that any needed correspondence regarding removal and additions of road to
the State Highway System are prepared in accordance with SCDOT directives. Assists with the
Claims Processes, verifies proper documentation, prepares correspondence and maintains
records of all damage claims submitted to District 4. Performs other related duties as
requested.
