Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of and minimum 3 years experience with 3D Autodesk Inventor products.
  • 2 year Associates Degree in a technical discipline preferred or minimum Computer Aided Design Technical Certificate.
  • Understands part qualification process.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Understands and has managed several projects.
  • Participates in quality management system training (based on ISO9001).
  • Practices proper safety guidelines and wears appropriate Personal Protection Equipment when required.
  • Ability to sit a computer terminal for long periods of time
  • Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for the position.
  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to travel up to ten percent (10%) of the time.
  • An essential function for this position, based on business necessity, is that the employee must be physically in attendance at his/her workstation at the designated company office location during the normal business hours designated for the position.

Job Description:

Position Summary

This position is responsible for fixture and masking design, technical drawings and management of the blue light scanning measuring equipment.

Primary Functions

  • Follows verbal and written instructions from Engineering, and conducts oneself according to Internal policies, procedures and standards of behavior.
  • Directly responsible for fixture design, masking development and related drawings and diagrams.
  • Once approved, submits to purchasing orders for fixture(s) and/or masking and manages arrival for required testing/production date.
  • Helps Engineering manage individual part qualifications as needed.
  • Designs and draws utilizing 3D Autodesk Inventor software.

Additional Duties

  • Performs additional duties from time to time as requested by the supervisor.
  • Contributes to overall part qualification success by evaluating and contributing as needed in the design phase.

Working Conditions

This position is an inside position working approximately 85% of the time in a-climate controlled environment and 15% of the time in an inside facility that is non-climate-controlled.
