Job Description:

This job performs duties necessary to treat patients in accordance with the physicians' orders and department policy. Performs all procedures under the supervision of a Respiratory Therapist or Respiratory Therapy Technician. Job duties will be assigned based on student's clinical progression and competency validation. All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Baptist Easley's values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork. Key Responsibilities:

? Performs respiratory therapy procedures in accordance with the physician's order, departmental policy, and the Respiratory Care Guidelines (RT Consult). Communicates well with supervisors, therapists and technicians. Provides a complete and accurate report.
? May perform blood gasses from all sites. Analyzes and reports results accurately.
? Accurately and completely documents and charges for respiratory care procedures and provides patient and family education as appropriate.
? Adheres to infection control and quality initiatives.
? Adheres to department time and attendance standards.
