Wages/Salary: $33,000 – $36,000 annually
An Associates Degree or equivalent relevant work experience directly related to carpentry. Experience working in a college environment is preferred. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, as well as construction practices and procedures. Ability to read through and understand blueprints, plans, and specifications. Must have finish carpentry skills developed through several years experience on the job. Ability to use a web based work order program (Schooldule) and iPad. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions with exposure to paint, solvents, chemicals, cleaning products, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Under general supervision of the Maintenance Director and the Master Trades Craftsman, performs skilled duties in maintenance and repair of University buildings and carries out small remodeling and renovation projects.
(occasional evening and weekend work is required)
