Must have a valid SC Driver's License with a good driving record; Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; Must attend and complete seven days of classroom training provided by the employer; Must be training in crisis management procedures and techniques and maintain a practitioner or higher level of certification (provided by employer)
Will provide assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism or related disabilities in a community-based setting. Will provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation; medication administration; along with vocational training in a sheltered work setting. Direct Support staff facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities.
