? BS Computer Science (New grad will be considered) or an Associate's Degree in a closely related curriculum with 2 years' experience preferred
? An Electrical background or interest
? AutoCAD / ESRI / ARC GIS
? Must present excellent oral and written communication skills

? Ability to work unusual hours when necessary

Job Description:

Our Client is a member-owned, not-for ?profit electric distributor. This electric cooperative serves Newberry County as well as portions of Fairfield, Laurens and Lexington Counties. Your Role with the Company: As Engineering Analyst you have an unique opportunity to begin an innovative chapter in company history while providing Network Administration, IT support, Security and Design. This position will also have the unique responsibility of servicing electrical components through support of substations and servicing fiber optic cabling.

? Set up new software and provide broadband support
? Design a date processing system that will provide system capabilities required for projected workloads and to ensure efficient operation that is consistent with the goals and objectives set forth by the Cooperative.
? Proactively maintain and offer solutions in Firewall Protection
? Ownership of Inventory, Maintenance and LAN/WAN.
? Troubleshoot and coordinate maintenance of Fiber Optic cabling.
? Serve as PC help desk for the Co-op, issue directives and determine if an outside contractor is needed.
? Will work with other and support departments on a regular basis
? Determine training needs, develop those prioritized training programs and present to employees
? Write reports and procedure manuals
? Plan for future growth and expansion, space and housing of equipment and replacement and updates of technology.
? Assist with occurring power outages requiring exposure to the elements and electricity while wearing company issued uniforms for your safety.
? Participate in ongoing field work to include maintenance of substations
? Write scripts for unmanned remote locations and housing
? Conduct studies to determine the development of new information systems to meet current or projected needs
? Create business cases and budgets for proposed technical projects
