ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN WORK SCHEDULE

Work schedule can vary depending upon time of year, but typically follows normal construction daylight hours. Early morning scheduling availability is often required to assist during concrete placement activities. As a Construction Materials Testing Technician, schedule flexibility is preferred.

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. of Greenville, SC is seeking to hire a full-time Construction Materials Testing Technician to visit our construction sites throughout the upstate of South Carolina to ensure concrete, soil, masonry and other related materials are meeting construction standards.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN

Working under the immediate supervision of a registered professional engineer, you work as a team member alongside site managers and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services. You actively collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing in order to ensure construction standards and specifications are being met. Whether at a commercial, industrial, or residential construction project, you take your role in quality assurance and testing seriously.

Additional responsibilities in this vital quality assurance position include monitoring general contractor activities, onsite testing, and reporting of earthwork and soil construction, reinforcing steel, concrete placements, as well as asphalt testing. You will accurately prepare daily reports for submission to the project engineer. These reports not only include your test results summary, but detailed construction site observations as well.
