We have an immediate career opportunity for an Extrusion Electrical Designer in our Simpsonville SC plant who will be responsible to test and modify machinery and equipment under the direction of engineers.
Provides mechanical technical support to colleagues maintaining equipment and equipment components. Fabricates and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, servo systems, machine tools, and measuring instruments. Under the direction of engineering colleagues, modifies prototypes to correct functional deviations. Performs all activities in compliance with Company, site, customer and regulatory requirements and standards.
Exhibits ability to understand and modify PLC logic programs, AC and DC drive systems and ability to modify/optimize their setup. In addition, understands machine level Human Machine Interfaces (HMI?s) and has ability to modify them.
In collaboration with project team, develops engineering specifications for equipment modifications or expansion. Provides assistance with routine installation and maintenance duties.
Collaborates with project team to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues. Executes corrective actions such as redesign, substitution of material or parts, or rearrangement of parts or sub-assemblies. Documents issues, processes and procedures employed in resolutions.
