Job Description:

Serve as an Inspector in the Fruit & Vegetable Department for the Agricultural Services Division. In compliance with USDA guidelines, assist with sampling, inspection and assessment of agricultural commodities. Performs permissive, appeal and regulatory inspections of interstate and intrastate shipment of fresh fruits, vegetable, nuts and other agricultural commodities. Upon completion of inspections, ensure certification as to grade, condition, and/or compliance with contract specifications and are in accordance with all requisite State and Federal regulations. Assist in other areas of inspection as needed such as the sampling for processed products branch, grain inspections, etc. Assist in after hours market center duties involving but not limited to: setting up, breaking down room set-up, working after hours and/or weekends.

Schedule:
This position is a 37.50 hour work week. Flexible schedule required to include extended work days.
