Required to use all appropriate safety equipment and procedures.

Job Description:

*Employees in this class perform a variety of work as a member of a crew engaged in the construction, installation and repair of the city's natural gas facilities.
*Work involves the operation of construction equipment in excavation, back-filling and compacting he site.
*Employees will also assist Qualified Operators in making taps on gas mains, installing regulators, meters, valves and making repairs to the natural gas facility.
*Digs trenches by hand or machine.
*Stocks truck with materials and supplies.
*Makes minor repair to tools and equipment.
*Loads and unload trucks.
*Cuts gas service on and off.
*Exercises valves.
*Performs related tasks as required.

Schedule:
Full-time 40 hours per week
