Requirements:

A 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations is required. Also needed is a valid Class "B" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "B" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Trains in the operation of tractor mowers in routine mowing operations of shoulders and right-of-way. Performs manual labor, in such maintenance tasks as clearing debris from right of ways, repairing shoulders, cutting trees, litter pickup and weed eating around signs. Operates dump trucks in hauling material and equipment to job sites. Operates the dump truck with sand spreader and snow plow attached. Trains to operate boom mower in cutting of right-of-way and sight areas. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
