Wages/Salary: $18,229.00 - $33,728.00 Annually
Trains in the operation of equipment such as side mount mowers in clearing grass and small trees for highway right-of-way. Performs manual labor such as weed eating around signs, bridges and guardrail. Acts as flagger when needed during roadway and mowing operations. Flags traffic using sign board and/or flags to direct traffic safely around and by workers and equipment during roadway maintenance repairs. Operates chain saw in the removal of trees from right-of-way. Trains in the operation of standard dump truck with snow plow attachment and sand spreader to remove snow and ice from highways and bridges. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
A 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.
