A 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human
Resources Regulations.
Trains in the erection and placement of signs and signposts, repairs of damaged sign posts, and
delineators. Flags traffic during road repairs to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general
public and equipment. Operates chain saw in cutting trees on right-of -way. Performs other
related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor. Removes litter, debris and dead
animals from roadway and rights-of-way. Trains in the operation of CDL Vehicles. Asists in the
placement of pavement markings such as bars, arrows, crosswalks and railroad crossings or
thermoplastic according to State specifications. Trains in the operation of standard dump truck
with snow plow attachment and sand spreader to remove snow and ice from highways and
bridges. Conducts and documents pre-operation vehicle/equipment inspection.
