A 10th grade education and two and one-half (2.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Performs duties on asphalt patching crew including assisting driveway paving, patching edges and potholes, leveling roadway, and other duties as required. Operates 5 yard dump truck hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites. Performs duties for normal daily operations such as flagging, work zone setup and take down, follow vehicle driving, small power tool operations and tree removal. Performs duties using manual labor, in such maintenance task as clearing of right-of-way, cleaning drainage ditches, repairing shoulders, patching potholes, making base repairs, repairing bridges, paving driveways, and laying side line/ cross line pipe. Performs duties for stand-by crew rotation, emergencies, snow/ice, and equipment operation such as plow, loader, or spreader, requiring right-of-way debris removal. Performs
other related duties as required.
