Job Description:

The mission of Baytree Landscape‚Äôs internship program is to provide an environment in which students of Horticulture or other related fields gain first-hand knowledge of the landscape profession and cultivate meaningful interactions with industry professionals. Interns will be hands-on in all facets of the various business disciplines and will be able to pull from available resources to improve their skill sets. These interactions ensure that the interns learn practical knowledge to enhance their academic careers. Interns will be assigned a mentor who will work side by side with them throughout the summer as well as work with key managers from all facets of the business as they progress through our structured, hands-on 12 week program. We are pleased to offer our program with pay and a housing assistance. If your school has any specific requirements for your internship, we will work with you to tailor our program to ensure those requirements are met. Landscape Installation
landscape layouts, machine operation, tree and shrub installation, proper equipment techniques, best safety practices.

Project Management
Plan reading, supply procurement, scheduling, jobsite rules & regulations, crew management.

Landscape Maintenance
proper equipment techniques and operation, shrub and seasonal color maintenance, pest control practices, best safety practices.

Account Management
Scheduling and planning crews, plant identification training, chemical/fertilizer application training, customer service, enhancement estimation, personnel management.

Irrigation Installation
Irrigation management and repairs, including proper irrigation techniques, system evaluation and troubleshooting, supply procurement, controller programming.

Business Administration
Administrative support, accounting/purchasing, fleet/equipment maintenance, and branch management responsibilities, human resources/payroll

Client prospecting, client interaction, estimating and the bid process, bid submission and presentation, to the signing of contract and new job handoffs
