Required Skills:
Mechanical Systems (Bearings, Sprockets, Chains, Belts, etc.)
Mechanical power transmission including alignments, gearboxes, etc.
Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
Operation of Lathe, Milling Machine, etc.
Tig, Mig and Stick Welding, Oxygen and Acetylene Units
Education/Experience/Certification:
A minimum of associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or comparable with demonstrated skills;
or a minimum of five years industrial/commercial mechanical experience;
or pass the AJ mechanical test.
Working Conditions:
Bending, stooping and lifting 50 pounds daily is required. Standing, walking for 8+ hours of shift is required. Candidate will be exposed to noise, warm temperatures and industrial equipment. Candidate must be able to wear all required safety equipment.

AstenJohnson is looking to add a Maintenance Mechanic at our Clinton, SC facility.
General Scope of Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance at the facility under the general supervision of the Production Team Leader and Maintenance Team Leader.
Job Duties:
Responsible for machine maintenance, general maintenance, mechanical work within the plant facility.
Promote safety and good housekeeping practices.
Maintain records for all performed maintenance activities.
Execute the completion of all performed maintenance work orders.
Assist in the installation and/or repair of new equipment and machines.
Work as needed during emergencies and plant shut downs to provide necessary maintenance services.
Enter all related work orders into the maintenance computer tracking system.
Assist in the calibrations of plant equipment.
