Associates degree or two or more years in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated excellence in mechanical aptitude, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical theory and programmable logic controls (PLCs).
We are currently recruiting Maintenance Technicians at AFCO in Anderson, SC on the off-shifts. AFCO is a joint venture between BOSCH and DENSO, a combination of advanced Japanese and German engineering and technology, that produces superior automotive products, high pressure, turbine type electric Fuel Pumps.
Works from blueprints, sketches, schematic drawings, diagrams, safety codes, manuals and handbooks to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical/electronic difficulties and take corrective action.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment or machine problems to correctly locate cause of problem and initiate corrective action. Installs, modifies, repairs, adjusts, troubleshoots and maintains equipment.
Troubleshoots, repairs, builds, tests, and replaces electronic circuits, components and assemblies.
Replaces defective parts such as gears, clutches, bushings, shafts, bearings, solenoids, valves, pumps, direction controls, etc.
Documents all actions and maintains necessary records.
Ensures compliance with safety rules and programs, maintains a clean and safe work area. Informs supervisor of all unsafe conditions and practices and any work-related accidents or illnesses immediately.
Will need to be able to work an off-shift.
