Requires a high diploma, GED or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the assigned duties. Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license.
Under general supervision, performs routine maintenance (greasing bearings, changing oil, cleaning, inspecting, etc.) plant equipment. Effectively communicates problems with equipment that seem suspect or malfunctioning to operators and superintendent for further investigation. Performs housekeeping duties of buildings and grounds within facilities. Proficient in the use of small hand tools, wrenches, and light equipment. Reads manufacturers operation and maintenance manuals to insure proper materials are used to service each piece of equipment. Reports to the Superintendent.
