Must be able to use power and hand tools to cut, thread, bend, and assemble black iron and plastic pipe and conduit.
Ability to read and understand electrical manuals.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, a wide variety of tools and equipment.
Requires degree in related field with 3 years minimum related work experience or
minimum of 5 years related work experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds at occasional intervals.
Ability to stand, stoop, and bend 80 percent of the time.
Must be able and willing to work at varying heights.
Must have a good color vision.
Must demonstrate good eye and hand coordination in functions.
Summary of Duties:
Perform electrical and mechanical installation, maintenance and repairs on building and/or equipment. Troubleshoot, adjust and/or repair equipment. Responsible for planning and execution of any and all projects associated with plating and fabrication at GFP and WSI. Responsible for giving assistance and direction to all maintenance employees at GFP and WSI when needed. Assist Maintenance Engineer in all projects in all Departments at GFP, WSI and building structures.
Job Duties Include (but not limited to)
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, and testing equipment, and following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic diagrams.
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic equipment.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Layout, assembles, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replaces gages, valves, regulators, and equipment as necessary.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishments.
May install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment, such as Programmable Controllers.
Performs both preventive and unscheduled maintenance, as needed, to building and/or equipment.
Maintains all plant facilities and equipment, in safe operating order. Immediately reports any unsafe condition or operations.
Assists in planning and scheduling projects when needed.
Keeps work area clean, neat and free of clutter and debris.
Assists in other areas whenever needed.
