Must currently be enrolled in school and plan on being enrolled in Fall semester. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Knowledge of landscaping techniques. Ability to operate mowers. Ability to follow specific instructions. May be required to climb ladders up to 35 feet and work from scaffolding. Work environment is hot and humid during summer months.

Job Description:

Incumbent performs various maintenance tasks relative to repair and upkeep of the park lawns, grounds, buildings, structures, facilities, roads and trails. Performs landscape maintenance to include operation of various gasoline-powered push mowers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, and other power equipment. Picks up litter from grounds, trails, and picnic areas. Maintains equipment and hand tools according to instructions and performs basic operator maintenance on power equipment. Performs janitorial duties in visitor center, administrative offices, and historic buildings. Assist skilled maintenance staff in carrying out a variety of maintenance activities. This may include carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical repair and other activities.

Schedule:
Position starts mid to late May and extends until September. May be part-time work after primary season ends. Work week will run Thursday to Monday. Hours 7 AM until 3:30 PM or 8 AM until 4:30 PM
