Medical Laboratory Technician

Responsibility for laboratory procedures?including specimen collection?specimen processing, test performance, test results.
? Performs assigned task in a timely manner.
? Performs venipuncture and finger sticks in a timely manner.
? Processes specimens as required for the particular type of testing.
? Maintains logs with information pertinent to test being performed.
? Performs in-house procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results.
? Maintains laboratory equipment and ensures maintenance and cleaning is done properly.
? Orders and maintains proper supplies necessary for function of the laboratory.
? Monitors and evaluates the performance of individuals supervised.
? Ensures all instruments and procedural calibrations are maintained and maintenance is performed.
? Maintains quality control and quality assurance programs to assure quality of laboratory services.
