Required Skills, Education, and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business management required.
· 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Experience with quality assurance at both an operational and management level.
· Experience with APQP.
· Experience with 8D, 5Why or other problem solving methodologies.
· Ability to read blueprints.
· Ability to use quality measurement devices.
· ISO14001 and TS16949 experience required.
· Six sigma green belt or black belt preferred.
· Strong PC Skills & Mainframe skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Occasional light travel required
1. Oversee the quality assurance activities in the plant.
2. Supervise and direct quality associates to achieve quality products.
3. Communicate with outside customer base on dimensional deviations, alternate manufacturing processes, and packaging issues.
4. Work with senior business and production management to assure that appropriate and practical quality assurance programs are in place to assure the superior customer satisfaction while optimizing costs and profitability.
5. Develop and implement quality assurance programs and procedures for the plant.
6. Work with multi-functional teams within the manufacturing facility and among the management team to develop and implement quality initiatives and make recommendations for improvements, using 8D, 5 why and/or other problem solving methodologies.
7. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the TS16949 and ISO14001 systems.
8. Responsible for accurate and timely completion of Quality Department components of APQP
