Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree preferred + (2) years’ experience in student services programs. A master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of two years’ experience in an academic environment, firsthand experience with youth or adult career programming and/or working with first-generation students.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of two years of case management experience working with youth and adults, career development facilitator certification, preferred.
The full-time temporary grant Retention Counselor, funded by the DOL Strengthening Community Colleges grant initiative, will focus on working with Advanced Manufacturing and Nursing Pathway student participants from credit, continuing education, and K-12 Career and Technical Education to ensure that students' progress along the College’s career pathway opportunities.
