High School Diploma or G.E.D., One year of previous sheetmetal fabrication experience. Experience with precision measuring devices such as; calipers, OD/ID and depth gauges, and other measuring devices.
The Sheetmetal Worker will lift, position and manipulate 4? X 8? sheets of heavy gage steel into place on machining center. Use various material moving equipment, such as cranes, to locate steel for manufacture or remove finished product. Set up and operate press brake and/or laser bending cell to burn, bend, form or straighten 4? X 8?sheets of steel. Set-up and operate all machine tools and perform all programming and operations on CNC machines and turning centers to fabricate parts within specified tolerances. Design and create milling, drilling, and holding fixtures for the fabrication of various parts. Use other machines as required.
