Responsibilities
SCE&G is now hiring a Configuration Management/ Process Improvement Technical/Engineering Specialist to facilitate the development of engineering-controlled documents (e.g., drawings, procedures, technical reports, etc.) for Engineering Services (supporting Plant Support Engineering, Design Engineering, Materials & Procurement Engineering and Nuclear Fuels & Analysis) at V.C. Summer Nuclear Station Unit 1 in Jenkinsville, SC.
Job responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Administration of CAD
Mentor for MicroStation and AutoCAD
Support 2D drafting using MicroStation and AutoCAD
Support of process and procedure changes and development
Support Document Closure (Condition Reports, Non-conformances, & Engineering Change Packages)
Develop and Maintain SharePoint Website
Databases Maintenance
Qualifications
This position requires at least 2 years technical experience supporting engineering process development, and 4 years of CAD experience. In addition, to qualify as an Engineering Specialist, an Associate Degree in Engineering, from and accredited college is required.
Qualified candidates must possess excellent communication, presentations and technical writing skills and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, give and receive feedback regarding development or revision of engineering-controlled documents and demonstrate proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus.
The following degrees and certificates from Midlands Technical College Education & Training are highly desirable for this position:
Mechanical Engineering Technology Degree with a Nuclear Systems Technology Certificate
Associate of General Technology in Nuclear Systems Technology
National Academy for Nuclear Training Certificate
This position will be filled commensurate with education and experience.
