PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with one year full time in an NAEYC accredited and Reggio inspired child development center and an understanding of developmentally appropriate practice.

Job Description:

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES In this challenging role, you will assist the lead teacher in the Infant Classroom (0-12 months old) of the Child Development Center of Greenville Technical College. You will provide children with a developmentally appropriate learning environment at our NAEYC accredited CDC that will help them develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. Duties may include any or all of the following: Assist lead teacher with curriculum planning to include the development of lesson plans, classroom arrangement, and enhancement of the classroom Supervise the classroom and direct classroom activities Facilitate a variety of learning experiences where children can manipulate and explore a variety of materials and experience success. Gather necessary supplies and materials ahead of time Guide children in the proper care of materials Acts as a positive role model Observe and record children's behavior as directed Use appropriate transition techniques Promote children's learning by supporting children's ideas and progressive skill development Other duties as assigned. JOB SUMMARY This position will assist the Lead Teacher in the Child Development Center in planning, preparation and execution of classroom activities. He/she will serve as the primary caregiver for a small group of children ages infant through five years old.

40 hours/week. Flexible: Mon-Fri 7:30am-5:30pm
