Requirements:

Must be Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrates strong ethics.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and practice of the proper emergency procedures for your area. Ability to complete all required records and reports on schedule and submit them to the proper person or office. Ability to respond quickly to all emergency situations. Ability to observe and enforce all rules and regulations of the facility and educate patrons and inform them of the purpose and need for rules and regulations. Ability to check chemicals and water temperature at the beginning and end of shift. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.

This seasonal position prevents accidents and minimizes or eliminates hazardous situations, and maintains the Lander University outdoor pool. Responds quickly to all emergency situations and administers emergency first aid as needed.
