Tool and Die Maker

Job Duties:

? This employee will be responsible for the machining and assembly of metal stamping tools (e.g., progressive stamping dies, forming dies, deep-draw dies, compound dies, transfer dies, etc.).
? This employee will be responsible for the machining and assembly of all stamping tools, operator check fixtures, quality assurance check fixtures, mechanical jigs, and mechanical fixtures.
? This employee will be responsible for the machining and assembly of all specialty manufacturing machinery, equipment, and tooling.
? This employee will be required to work from 2D electronic drawing files and 3D electronic modeling files (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works, Cimatron, Pro-E, CATIA, etc.).
? Other duties as assigned.

Skills:

? This employee will need to possess basic personal computer skills and abilities.
? This employee will need to be able to access - and work from - 2D electronic drawing files and 3D electronic modeling files (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works, Cimatron, Pro-E, CATIA, etc.).
? This employee will need to be highly proficient in the machining and assembly of all types of metal stamping tools (e.g., progressive dies, forming dies, deep-draw dies, compound dies, transfer dies, etc.).
? This employee will need to be highly proficient in the machining and assembly of all types of mechanical jigs and fixtures.
? This employee will need to be highly proficient in the use of mechanical measurement equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, radius gages, pin gages, etc.).
? This employee will need to be highly proficient in the use of all types of mechanical hand tools and power tools.
? This employee will need to be experienced in the use of all standard tool-room equipment and machinery (e.g., manual mills, manual lathes, CNC mills, CNC lathes, CNC machining centers, drill presses, radial arm drills, surface grinders, wire EDM machines, heat treat equipment, band saws, honing equipment, etc.).
