A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a Commercial Driver's License. However, qualified applicants without a Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with Commercial Driver's License are available.
Flags traffic during road repairs to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general public and equipment. Trains in the operations of 5 yard standard dump truck, and flatbed trucks for hauling materials including asphalt, limestone, dirt, soil, cement, pipe, construction materials and debris. Trains in the operation of standard dump truck with snow plow attachment and sand spreader to remove snow and ice from highways and bridges. Repairs potholes and base surface failures of roadway using hand tools including shovel, pick, rake and asphalt lute to level asphalt as needed. Assists in the installation of driveways; using hand tools, hand tamp,place aggregates, remove mailboxes and reinstall and help place large section of pipe.Operates chain saw in the removal of trees from right-of-way. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
