Resources Regulations.
A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid
Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position.
However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if
no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.
Trains to operate a tandem or 5 yard dump truck for hauling materials including asphalt, limestone, dirt, soil, cement, pipe, construction materials and debris. Trains in the operation of
heavier equipment including steel wheel rollers, slope mowers, buzz bar and backhoes, etc.
Performs duties using manual labor, in such maintenance tasks as clearing of right-of-ways,
cleaning drainage ditches, repairing shoulders, patching potholes, making base repairs, repairing
bridges, paving driveways, and laying sideline/ cross line pipe. Flags traffic during road repairs
to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general public and equipment. Operates chain saw
in cutting trees on right-of-way. Conducts and documents pre-operation vehicle/equipment
inspection. Trains in operation of standard dump truck with snow plow attachment and sand
spreader to remove snow and ice from highways and bridges. Performs preventive maintenance
on equipment as outlined in the equipment manual. Performs other related job duties as
requested by supervisor.
