Veterinary Technician

Friarsgate Animal Hospital is seeking a full time veterinary technician. Candidate must be customer service oriented, flexible, team oriented, and possess a strong work ethic.  Duties include, but are not limited to :

• Assisting doctor during physical exams
• Inpatient care
• Venipuncture
• IV catheter placement
• Client education
• Filling prescriptions
• Anesthesia monitoring and recovery
• Surgial admissions and discharges
• In house lab work
• Fluid therapy
• Dental prophylaxis
• Charting 
• Radiography

Weekend and holiday rotations will be required.  A veterinary technician is the primary support for our doctors. The duties of a technician require practical knowledge of hospital procedures, policies and services, patient treatment protocols, hospital computer system, and terminology used in veterinary hospitals.
