Veterinary Technician

We are an established animal hospital with 34 years of providing gold standard medicine and care to our patients and their owners.

Job Description and Skills:

Applicant must be able to perform the daily responsibilities of a veterinary technician which include, but are not limited to: interacting with clients, setting up and reading fecal exams, performing routine blood work (Idexx machines), setting up and evaluating cytologies, veinipucture, IV catheterization, subcutaneous/intravenous/intramuscular injections, critical patient care (including fluid therapy and wound treatment), and basic husbandry (feeding, walking, and cleaning kennels). Experience with radiology and ultrasound equipment is recommended. We are a "paper light" facility and applicants must exhibit proficiency in typing and be comfortable working with computers and programs such as Word.

Work Experience:

Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a veterinary clinic. Preference will be given to those with an associates/bachelors in Veterinary Technology and with an active South Carolina veterinary technician license.
