Wood Shop Warehouse Worker

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED 

Physical requirements

• Bend, stoop, climb, stand, walk, turn and pivot for the duration of the work day
• Lift, lower, push, and pull up to shoulder height 70 lbs without assistance
• Lift to a height of 42”, up to 140 lbs with the assistance of another person
• Grasp and maintain control of work material
• Simple hand grasping, power hand grasping and fine hand manipulation necessary to complete task
• Coordinated use of hand-held power tools and precision machinery
• Steady use of hands and arms for repetitive type motions associated with swinging a hammer, using an 11 lb nail gun and manipulation of parts up to 10 lbs
• See and hear with sufficient capability to maintain proper job safety conditions
• Physically able to properly use safety equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats, face shields, steel-toed boots, chaps, support gloves, dust masks, etc.
• Maintain an acceptable work place
• Standing or sitting in a static position up to 2 hours at a time
• Work in an environment that will be subject to:
  • Variable temperatures and humidity (climate conditions)
  • Exposure to dust, dirt and noise (within OSHA guidelines)
  • Outside, inclement weather
• Demonstrate cognitive ability to:
  • Follow directions and routines
  • Work independently with appropriate judgment
  • Illustrate spatial awareness
  • Read words and numbers
  • Concentrate, memorize and recollect
  • Identify logical collections and determine sequence of response
  • Processing up to 2-3 steps ahead
